Bobbi Slossar receives 2012 Geisel Award

Uncategorized

14 Nov

We are happy to announce that we have a Geisel Award winner this year! None of you will be surprised to hear the name of this most worthy recipient, Bobbi Slossar of the NH State Library. Many of us also know her as Wonder Woman. She graciously accepted the award at the NHLA Fall Conference and Business Meeting.

Bobbi Slossar - Geisel Award 2012

One excerpted paragraph from her many supporters’ statements sums up Bobbi’s qualifications for the Anne Geisel Award:

“Bobbi is so much more than the Downloadable Books program administrator for the consortium. Through many avenues she has impacted every library in the state. She freely shares her tech knowledge and is tenacious about getting answers despite stumbling blocks. Besides being patient and kind, Bobbi also keeps things simple and always goes above and beyond, sharing her passion for technology with everyone she meets. Bobbi will share her views but then really listen to the views of others as well. Her skills and knowledge have greatly contributed to better libraries throughout New Hampshire, and I know she is very valued not just at the State Library and through the sections of NHLA, but also in her own town. Her passion is our gain, and we’re much better for having Bobbi as our colleague.”

Congratulations, Bobbi! We are thrilled to give you this honor.
